Baulch Ministries affirms the historic, orthodox Christian faith as expressed in the classical creeds of Christianity, including the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed.
God
There is one God, the Creator of all things, who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal, distinct in person but one in essence, power, and glory.
Scripture
The Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, authoritative Word of God and the final rule for all matters of faith and practice.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and performed miracles. He was crucified under Pontius Pilate as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of humanity, was buried, and rose bodily from the dead on the third day. He ascended to the right hand of the Father, where He intercedes for His people, and He will return in glory to judge the living and the dead.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is fully God, co-equal with the Father and the Son. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, indwells every Christian from the moment of faith, and empowers the church for service.
Humanity and Sin
God created humanity in His image. Through the fall of Adam, sin entered the world, and all people are sinners by nature and by choice, separated from God and in need of a Savior.
Salvation
Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It is a gift of God, not earned by human performance or merit. We believe that genuine trust in Jesus as Lord brings salvation and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Baptism the normal, first, and most important act of obedience and public identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
The Church
The universal church is the body of Christ, consisting of all who have placed their faith in Jesus as Lord, regardless of denominational affiliation. Every believer is called to faithful membership and active participation in a local congregation. We believe that serious doctrinal misunderstandings do not invalidate genuine faith, and that God’s family is larger than any single tradition.
Spiritual Warfare
Satan is a real and personal enemy of God and His people. Believers are engaged in a spiritual battle against the powers of darkness, but the victory has already been won through the cross and resurrection of Jesus. Christians are called to stand firm in faith, armed with the Word of God and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
The Return of Christ and Final Judgment
Jesus Christ will return bodily and visibly to judge the living and the dead. There will be a resurrection of all people — those who belong to Christ to eternal life, and those who have rejected Him to eternal separation from God.
The Classical Creeds
We affirm the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed as faithful summaries of essential Christian teaching, and we regard adherence to these creeds as a baseline standard for Christian orthodoxy.
